The purpose of the Scioto Watershed Action Group (SWAG) is to protect, preserve and enhance the Scioto River as it flows through central Ohio, along with its associated tributaries and drainage area. SWAG strives to take direct action to address environmental challenges faced by the local Scioto watershed. This includes educating the public, leading and participating in stewardship projects, engaging in citizen science programs, and promoting nature-based recreation through supporting the efforts of central Ohio municipalities and collaborating with peer conservation groups.
SWAG is a volunteer watershed group for the urban part of the Scioto and its tributaries. The focus is on environmental conservation and restoration, including litter clean up, planting trees and native pollinator plants, removing invasives, all with the goal to improve water quality
SWAG meets on the 3rd Wednesday every month at 5:30-7PM, Franklin Soil and Water Conservation District (1404 Goodale Blvd)/Zoom.
