Through the Our Lady of Guadalupe Center, Catholic Social Services works to reduce poverty by addressing its root causes within the immigrant Hispanic community concentrated on the west side of Columbus - a population that is growing and experiences disproportionate poverty. We serve the needs of Central Ohio's growing Hispanic population with food assistance, health screenings, nutrition information and English classes.
Franklin County TECHO, a new housing clinic put on by Legal Aid of Southeast and Central Ohio (LASCO) at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Center. This weekly, Spanish-language clinic is designed to assist tenants in Franklin County with their legal housing matters like repairs, evictions, mobile home issues, discrimination, and security deposits. Tenants will have the opportunity to discuss their rights and options with a Spanish-speaking attorney, and tenants who are eligible for LASCO services may also receive legal representation regarding those housing issues. Every Wednesday from 9 am to 4 pm, no registration required.
