Domestic Violence Awareness Month Lighting Ceremony

You’re invited to join Columbus City Attorney Zach Klein, Ohio Women Against Domestic Violence, and the Columbus Office of Violence Prevention for the annual Domestic Violence Awareness Month Lighting Ceremony, taking place on Thursday, October 1, 2026.

This year’s theme, Silence Ends Here, reflects a shared commitment to breaking the silence around domestic violence, supporting survivors and honoring those we’ve lost, and standing together as a community against abuse.

As part of the ceremony, Columbus City Hall will light up purple in honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month. We encourage everyone joining us to wear purple to show support for survivors, advocates, and service providers.

🗓️: Thursday, October 1, 2026
⏰: 6:00 p.m.
📍: Columbus City Hall, 90 W. Broad Street
