We know now more than ever, many of us are struggling with job losses, unemployment, and food insecurity. As a response to our community’s shifting needs, we are now offering curbside pick-up of Fresh Food Bags: bags full of fresh fruits & vegetables from the garden, harvested that day. Safety is our top priority, so pick-up of your Fresh Food Bag is completely touch-free: walk, drive, or bike to the curb of Highland Youth Garden, point to what you’d like on the spread of produce on the tables, and a gloved & masked staff member will bag it for you. We know these are challenging times. As such, we’ve elected to make all produce completely donation-based. You’re welcome to pay what you can, or nothing at all. We don’t want finances to be a barrier to life-giving fruits & vegetables. Starting May 2nd, you can pick-up a Fresh Food Bag at Highland Youth Garden on Wednesday evenings from 5-7PM and Saturday mornings from 10AM-12PM. No registration or call-ahead necessary, just show up! We’ll update what produce we have available each week on Facebook and Instagram. Any & all are welcome.
From May 2nd to October 31st on Wednesdays from 5-7PM and Saturdays from 10AM-12PM at 67 S Highland Ave, Columbus OH 43223.
Elementary students can also pick up a garden activity pack during the markets, beginning September 9th. Each pack includes a garden-themed activity kit for your elementary-aged kid. Plant, water, and grow at home. Kits are free and no registration is required.
